The fifth cinderella is, indeed, Catalan (from Catalonia, not Spain!). It comes from a poster by Carles Suñé promoting seals. It says "National (Catalan) stamp 5 cents (of pesseta) to promote childrens' health" There, you can also read: "Buy it from December (1933) 1st to January (1934) 6th". It seems that Xmas make people more prone to charity. So, it can be considered a Catalan Xmas seal. The cinderella was issued by the Catalan government in 20 units (sold for 1 pesseta) booklets to raise money to help improving children health, at a time when tuberculosis was a serious problem amongst workers' children, living often in unhealthy premises. For this reason, also, the booklet margins have sentences like "breathe fresh air". Money raised was used to send children to the countryside in summer and to build hospitals. Other alike stamps were issued in 1934: In 1935: In 1936 ("Healthy eating"): |

I've posted this elsewhere but here's a Cinderella I have in my collection. I don't actually collect Cinderellas and have no idea where or how long ago I acquired this item but as I collect aircraft or aviation on stamps, it has remained in my collection, something a bit different. There is a series of them I believe all with colour version at top with B&W underneath. |

Partime has posted a New Zealand stamp and label and asked for opinions regarding the labels future as a cinderella. https://goscf.com/t/33551I've posted questions about postal labels as cinderellas in the past. https://goscf.com/t/31345&SearchTer...ostal+labelsSo here's another example. Canada SC 1510a 1994 booklet pane of The T. Eaton Company stamp came with two labels. I had a booklet, but half the stamps and one label were gone, so it was no longer any good to me as a booklet pane. Two of the stamps went to postage and the rest went with it's remaining label into my cinderella collection, on the postal label page. Pictured here is what I have left. I've seen the image of the entire booklet pane in my Unitrade catalogue, but can anyone show me that other label up close? |

Had a quick run through and didn't see this one, so here goes. Picked this up today at the North Toronto Stamp Show. A last minute purchase before heading out the door. The seller had it listed as a tuberculosis label, but I think it's actually dedicated to veterans of the battle at Verdun. |

Nice Cindys everyone. Loved the Verdun label.....looks like a joint production. Marius...nice space items. If you want to know more about them, I may be able to help. By the way, I'll be in Southend most days between Nov 1st-Nov 6th. And don't forget the West Leigh Stamp Fair on the 3rd ! Londonbus1 |

Thanks LB, I found a pdf catalogue and it seems there were quite a few of these produced between 1964 and 1968. Good to hear you'll be in Southend in Nov. Maybe we go to the fair together? Keep in touch anyway |

Hello all, I'm new to the Cinderella stuff. Is this what is considered a Cinderella stamp? Thanks in advance...Gary |
