Hi Cursus. Regarding the round green Esperonto cinderella on the Bulgarian post card...does that mean they (the cindy) were Bulgarian in origin? or were they circulated all around Europe? Wondering because I have one just like it and am curious as to it's origins. |

I recently acquired this label, and was hoping somebody might know something about it. The inscription is "svetište majke božje remetske". Google Translate says it means "the sanctuary of the mother of the God of remembrance" in Croatian. There is also a "0.65" denomination on the label. I assume it is some sort of charity label, but I'd like to know for sure. And if there any more like it (is it part of a series?). Whatever you can tell me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Robert |

Rod, wow, thanks!
Your reply mentioned it was obligatory. I opened up the Scott catalog, and there it is: Croatia Scott RA80. Didn't think it would be in Scott.
Thanks again.

Just bought a little collection of about 100 German Cinderellas-advertising labels. most of them around 1910-1912 First a well know figure. Graf van Zeppelin circa 1910-1912 G. Zuban Cigarettes. 1910/1912 In those days having kids smoking to advertise was no problem. When I have time, I will post a few more. |

Some examples of the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. Shown are the English, German Swedish and Russian version. They can be found on the internet. The English, German, French and Swedish labels were made in large numbers. all the other languages take more effort. 16 languagues were used. 13 in white letters 3 in black. 4 also exist unperforated. |
