Let's See Your Cinderellas!

A few more German Cinderellas from aroud 1910/1912.

First a convention in Altona 1911 about backery and simular occupations. Then a nice one with Santa Claus and a Washing Machine and last a Dapol Petroleum.

My ALL time favorite Cinderelie stamp,

An airmail lable which is a spoof of the Big 5 stamps below
"Why have 5 stamps where one will do" if I remember they are by the same designer.

Germany Kriegsgefangenenhilfe(to the aid of imprisoned Military personel and civilians). Most probably during WW1 and years soon after.

I have a few more of these, but unfortunately they are stuck together(work in progress).

Londonbus1: The Stockholmia 2019 label is well executed by Martin Morck. We exchanged emails over this design, as it had been described as "engraved" in some publications. It is not, as you will realise.

In Martin's words: "The design, which is a combination of several parts, related to the 150 year history. The design is a hand pen and ink drawing which is printed in offset on self-adhesive paper and die-cut perforated."

I enquired about the lettering "fec." after his name in the margin and Martin replied that: "It is a shortening of the Latin "fecit" : "he did it". It's used when it's not a specific engraving or painting, but just did it all :-)"

The print run was 5,000 sheets of 20 (100,000 labels). His inspiration for the design came from the 1922 Jamaican stamp, also in black and blue, that depicted "Town and Harbour of Port Royal".

Martin will be attending the exhibition next year, so get your material ready for signing if you are also going!

As found on the backside of a 1927 US cover. When the cover was opened the seal got damaged. Still a nice stamp related item.

Turtle, I would say yes, they both are, but bigger brains than mine can tell you for sure, especially regarding the kiwi seal.
