Central American jaguar (Panthera onca centralis), an airmail stamp printed by photogravure (Government Printing Bureau, Tokyo), and issued by Costa Rica in May 1963 as one of a set of eight stamps depicting indigenous Mammals, Scott No. C356, plus a photo.

A pair of male Serengeti lions resting in the shade, designed by Victor Whiteley, printed by photogravure (Harrison & Sons), and issued by Tanganyika on December 9, 1961 as one of a set of twelve stamps commemorating the country's independence, Scott No. 50.

"Black panther," a melanistic color variant of the Indochinese leopard (Panthera pardus delacouri), printed by lithography, and issued by Malaysia on May 28, 1999, Scott No. 694, plus a photo. Note: Black leopards are relatively common in the equatorial rain forests of Malaya.

Snow leopard (Panthera uncia) or ounce is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. It is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Its current population is estimated at 4700 to 8700.

Two kinds of stylized big cats are shown on these 1998 "Year of the Tiger" stamps from Singapore. A stylized lion head in profile is associated with Singapore Post. The tigers are shown on the stamp and on the selvedge.
