I could probably start putting together a list of cheetah stamps for anyone interested. Usually, since there isn't a good list available, I just have to happen upon one to figure out there's even something I'm missing! Probably ought to make a list of what I have, then compare with others. |

The Indian State of Bussahir included a big cat as the central motif of every stamp it ever produced (although the State Post Office only functioned between 1895 and 1901 ...)  There seems to be some confusion about what sort of big cat it is, though. It looks like a tiger, but apparently the locals regarded it as a lion. As neither variety of big cat was native to Bussahir, a hundred years ago anyway, the confusion may be understandable. |

I've actually started putting together a list of cheetah stamps that I have, although I haven't done much to identify most of them by Scott# yet. I think I'm at 31 stamps, including most of those that have been posted in this thread, but I know there are others, I found a list of stamps I had long ago of others.
Now I just have to set up the tripod and camera and get good pictures of all of them. |
