Thank you for sharing, Casselo! Most of my ideas for this topic have come from other SCF members who have posted on this thread. I look forward to seeing more of your collection!

Your SAAR is a great one,
I'd suggest the German do not qualify,
that is metal "working" not casting.

Here are images of the six stamps in an "Iron Mining" booklet issued by Sweden on August 27, 1991, Scott Nos. Facit Nos. 1691-1696. All six stamps were engraved by Martin Mörck.

A Walloon forge at Forsmarks mill, after original artwork by Swedish artist J.W. Wallander (1821-1888).

Bar iron forging at Svartå, Närke, designed by Ulf Wahlberg.

fifia - Thanks!

jamesw - Agreed, the Steel Centennial USA stamp is a real beauty. It was designed by American illustrator Antonio Petruccelli (1907-1994), and engraved by Richard M. Bower, and previously posted by me on May 20, 2011, page 12 of the "Collecting by Engraver" thread.

Great stuff. I've picked up a few Sweden panes based on items posted on SCF, even though they are way outside my era, and I may have to go find the iron mining pane, too.

Thanks to all for the great scanning.

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting a pouring ladle to represent industry, along with various symbols of agriculture, stock breeding, mining and archaeology, designed by "Zeiter," printed by Harrison & Sons, London (Scott says lithogravure, but SG says photogravure; I would agree with SG) and issued by Peru on September 7, 1962 to celebrate the centennial (in 1961) of Pallasca Province, located in the northern Ancash region, Scott No. C181, SG No. 865.

Jamesw: thanks for putting that US Scott#1090 (American Eagle and Pouring Ladle) on the thread. It took me by surprise in that I don't remember having seen it before - even checked my collection. Don't even remember it from flipping pages in my old 1975 black and white catalogue but there it was.
