There are two IFs 1) did I identify these correctly as Q1, Q2, and Q3 and 2) Forgeries exist. Can people help me confirm or unconfirm these three, please? Any information is gratefully accepted. And if I did it wrong I can blame my new scratch and dent Scott books. They were probably scratched in the wrong place. As always - thanks - jeff

Nope, keep going. Third series, at least. I'll be in reach of a catalogue shortly, but you can probably find them.

Puzzler is the hex fiend. I seek them out wherever I find them. And on the first 6 Belgium parcel stamps, they are actually common.

2) Forgeries exist.

The 80c #Q22, genuine stamps are perf 15.5x14.5 (or 15.5x14.25).

I believe the 2 most common forgeries will either be perf 14 or perf 11.

Yes Jeff. I beleive that the "Bastogne" cancellation is from the area where the major WW 2 battle took place.

I just scanned a bunch of Belgium stamps and thought I would add some of them onto this thread. I believe some of the stamps have the hex type cancels so Puzzler may like to see them!

Have a Good One,

The 10c. is Q29 (Belgian Catalogue: TR28), the 20c. is Q31 (BC: TR30) (both from the 1902 issue) Original stamps of this issue are perfed 15 and exists in two types of paper (thin from 1902 and thik paper from 1914, sold during WW1 by the Germans).
This issue also existon white paper, but those are reprint.
The last one 80c. is Q22 (BC: TR24) from the 1895 issue are perfed 15.5 x 14.5. Some of them might have a WMK (From 1895 to 1899 paper with WMK is been used to print this serie)

Hope it helps

The numbers I used are Scott 2008 numbers (And Belgian Catalogue numbers)
