Bastogne is the northern terminus
of the rail line from Libramont.
There are only two stations on the line
Bastogne Nord and bastonge Sud

Yours is the Southern station, Bastogne Nord is the terminus.

Bastogne:

If you come across a particulary vilolent US series,
called "band of brothers" one serial features on this battle
(almost unviewable by me in parts)
It brings the horror of war to the lounge chair.

The rail we are focusing on in this thread has some
interesting history, esp in WW1
When Germany decided to invade France through the keyhole of Belgium
the Belgians thoughtfully destroyed a major part of the rail
networks thus hampering the German advance.

Rail had a peculiar bearing on ww1 which basically brought about
the horrors of trench warfare.
The then ascribed policy of "attack is better than defence"
used the rail to get large armies to a point at railhead
where they congealed in a mass, barely able to move forward
other than on foot. Horses required vast areas for feed.

The minute someone dug in, the horror began.
