Nice set.
I refer to these (not so lovingly) as "the fathead definitives".
The values less than 1 peseta are some of the most ubiquitous stamps in the world. |

Rod's elusive 1p80 makes an appearance.
For the new-timers, Rod had a post a while back on the relative scarcity of some stamps that you would think should be common. The main focus was an Austrian 3gr girl, but this Spaniard was another... |

Yes, I just searched for the Rod222 thread and indeed the Franco stamp was the other material of discussion, finally I've found something interesting on my collection :P But serious guys, Thank you all for your patience.
When I reached the necessary posts to trade, I will be listing, what I think, could be interesting material for the ones willing to buy or trade.

Quote: The values less than 1 peseta are some of the most ubiquitous stamps in the world. Oh how I used to hate that General Franco guy. It seems that over half the stamps I used to get in that orange/red bag-o-stamps from Woolworth's in the late sixties were of this dude, it seems that I had billions and billions of them.Well I was only 12 years old so....... Anyway, brings back memories of my early stamp years. |

I think that you can still get them if you live by a Hobby Lobby |

BTW the earlier Franco series is a collecting discipline all by itself, a huge amount of print varieties and flyspecking. I differ from most here, I liked the Franco series, I liked the colour palette on the album page when they were all lined up like soldiers.
There certainly is a lot of them, but one can also collect good cancellation varieties on them as well.

Don't get me wrong Rod. I have a complete collection of them myself (with some color variations as well). |

Rod - Neither my album nor my catalog seem to acknowledge the existence of a 4 Peseta stamp from this series. Perhaps you could enlighten us. |
