Glad your finding some you can use Rod. I just love finishing sets, or pages for that matter.

What an amazing stamp forum indeed!
Finding and PARTICIPATING in this forum has put a lot of FUN and interest back into in my stamp collecting. Being able to expand my interest into other countries, most notably Canada, would not have been possible if this forum had not existed. I have thanked many of you through individual emails, but it only seems right to acknowledge here the excitement that each one of you has brought to me, either through purchases, comments on my postings, sharing my limited knowledge, or the new knowledge I have gotten by just reading the various postings. I thank each and every one of you and a BIG THANKS to the founding father (fathers?) of this forum and to the moderators. May each of you have a glorious new year and happy stamping!!

A big thank you, to you and all the other members too. Because of the way you guys conduct yourselves, us moderators are just about unemployed. This is a great forum and I'm proud to part of it. I don't post a lot, because I don't get into like most of you guys seem to, but I sit back and learn bits here and there and I have a good laugh occasionally, usually at Philb and Bobgggg.
Happy new year everyone.

Steve

First 150% feedback of 2012 goes to DIANNE for the lovely Christmas Card,Christmas Seals and advertising glassines.
A truly wonderful envelope to open as Dianne's usually are.

Thanks a bunch.

Huge box of Registration Labels from Ryan

I am going to busy for the next year

Fantastic

Ryan, the stamps on cover must be well desired...
As I am not a specialist in Canada
would you like me to return these beauties?

What is the Pmk? WOODBINE...?

Woodbine is the district in Calgary where I go to the post office. That's the hand stamp they use for special things that don't go into the main PO stream for cancellation. It took a fair bit of convincing to get them to use that one, I got a relative newbie on duty for the Christmas holidays and she was unfamiliar with such special requests ....

You bet those $10 whales are highly prized here. I have 2 of them already from repeat ebay purchases from a Quebec dealer. Go ahead and soak them off the box board and then keep one for yourself and call the other one a duplicate for trading. Send it to Dianne - sounds like you need to trade her something for her past care packages!

What, it can't be!!

An actual CDS cancel from Canada?

Nice to see they didn't spray it with the usual fuzzy ink jet cancel.

At my stamp club meeting last night I saw a pair of wales that had been attacked by the marker monkey.

I couldn't seperate them Ryan
They come as a complete pair.

Do you want them Dianne?
I do collect Canada, but happy to pass them on
if you are missing them.
Kindness begets kindness.

Ooops! missed your posting Dianne

They are yours as a pair, I'll leave them on board
for the passage, be careful the postmark does not run
if you intend to soak off!
I'll post them off today on the big red Kangaroo.

You should have seen the extraordinary effort Ryan went to,
to have those fellas postmarked correctly
and not damaged.

They were cancelled, then placed in a plastic cover
before affixing to the parcel.
Beyond the call of duty.

If it breaks your heart to pull them apart keep them Rod. Next time I send you something I'll put the whale I have on the packet and you can send it back to me :) Disreguard my email I hadn't noticed the part where you didn't want to separate them.

No No Dianne, that's Cool, really
The Joy is in the giving

I just cannot seperate stamps, that would be vandalism.
Anyhow, they are already packed up ready for shipment Hehehe

While I am here,
Received auction lot Steve (tomisek)
plus some nice GB postmarks as a gift,

Auction lot from the Bus
Lovely Mint Romanian blocks, that will give punch
to my Romanian collection
(you always get a bonus gift from the bus)

And a gift of Pot-Pouuri from the India States man, Tony the Mac

Lots of cool stuff I enjoy, the Jetsam and floorsweepings from
classy collectors, I have Michael Jackson, atomobiles,
funny money...etc etc.

One that caught my eye, Philly the City of brotherly Love
