Here is an image of a stamp depicting a member of the Irish Volunteers holding what appears to be a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mk I (SMLE) repeating rifle mounted with a bayonet, and the Dublin General Post Office, designed by Anglo-Irish illustrator Victor Brown (1900-1953), printed by typography, and issued by Ireland on October 27, 1941 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Easter Rising in 1916, Scott No. 120, plus a couple of photographs of one of these military rifles. Note: The Irish inscription on the stamp may be translated as "In the name of God and in the name of the generations that went before us," taken from the Proclamation of the Republic (Irish: Forógra na Poblachta), 1916.

Love the Canadian artillery pieces. Firearms do make for a neat topical.

One look at the Lee-Enfield and my shoulder got sore. Two and a half months on a parade square pounding it against my shoulder and not once did I think to place a pad of some sort under my uniform.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a Norwegian Royal Guard at his post by the Oslo Royal Palace, armed with what appears to be a version of the Swedish Bofors Ak 5 assault rifle, designed and combined engraved by Sverre Morken and lithography, and issued by Norway on November 20, 1998 as one of a set of two stamps commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Royal Palace, Scott No. 1206, Facit No. 1339, plus a photo of a Royal Guard similarly on duty.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a Russian soldier, guerrilla fighters, and Prague, designed by Czech artist Jaroslav Lukavský (1924-1984), engraved by Josef Hercik, and issued by Czechoslovakia on May 5, 1965 as one of a set of five stamps commemorating the 20th anniversary of the country's liberation from the Nazis, Scott No. 1307. The soldier's weapon resembles a Soviet-era PPSh-41 (Pistolet-Pulemyot Shpagina) submachine gun, which was designed by Georgi Shpagin (1897-1952). See photo below for comparison.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a .22 caliber target pistol and a target, designed by Swiss artist Heinz Bürgin, printed by photogravure (Courvoisier, S.A.), and issued by Switzerland on January 29, 1974 to publicize the 1974 International Shooting Sport Federation World Shooting Championships, held in Thun, Scott No. 588.

Shooting with what appears to be a sporting shotgun, printed by photogravure, and issued by Republic of China (Taiwan) on October 25, 1962 as one of a set of two stamps publicizing a sports meet, Scott No. 1362. See photo below of a 12-gauge Summit Ascent model for comparison.

Rifle shooting, printed by lithography, and issued by Papua New Guinea on July 24, 1996 as one of a set of four stamps publicizing the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, held in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), Scott No. 898. Note: This rifle's barrel looks bent to me!
