The Cullinan diamond is the largest gem-quality diamond ever found, at 3106.75 carat (621.35 g). It was found on 26 January 1905, in mine in South Africa. It was cut into three large parts, 9 large gem-quality stones and a number of smaller fragments. They are British Crown Jewels. The largest part Cullinan I is a 530,2 carat and is also known as the Great Star of Africa. Cullinan II is the Second Star of Africa, weight of 317,4 carats. The Shah Diamond was found in central India, probably in 1450. Its present weight is 88.7 carats. On three of its original faces the names of three of the Persian rulers who owned it have been engraved. In 1829 persian shah gave it to the Russian tsar Nicholas I as a present. It is now exhibited in the Kremlin, Russia.
The mineral fluorite is calcium fluoride, CaF2. The origin of the word fluorite comes from the Latin word fluo (I run) because it is used as a flux in steel and aluminium processing. Fluorite crystals are prized by collectors for their rich variety of colours from violet, green, greenblue, yellow, brown, rosy, purple red, blue, white to black. The stamps depict a sample found in the village of Potok above the Sel¹ka dolina valley, Slovenia.
The Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross is from 1661 and so called because it is surmounted by a cross. It was redesigned in 1905 to incorporate the Great Star of Africa or Cullinan I, the second largest cut diamond in the world.
The Imperial State Crown was made in 1937 for King George VI. Among the stones are several famous ones, including the Cullinan II diamond, also known as the Second (Lesser) Star of Africa.
Israel has one of the foremost diamond industries in the world. Diamond factories in Israel are considered the most advanced worldwide due to their computerized processing technologies which assist in making decisions for processing stones.
Antwerp, Belgium is an important centre of diamond trade. Half of all cut diamonds passes through Antwerp. About 30.000 people are directly or indirectly employed by the Belgian diamond sector.
Botswana is the world`s largest producer of gem diamonds. Daimonds are also main export article. In Botswana is the world`s largest and richest diamond mine, Jwaneng.

Lesotho has long been known as a source of large, high-quality diamonds. In country are 39 known kimberlite volcano eroded pipes, where diamonds could be found.
