Bosnia and Herzegovina (Croatia Administration) Autochthonous Breeds March 20, 2007 Set of three, one stamp features Istrian Ox. Istrian Ox (Boskarin) is the white grey long horned cattle in Istria, a symbol of the region. The number of the breed declined rapidly in the 1990s. It took some 20 years to revive the traditional Istrian cattle that are today farmed for the gourmet purposes.  |
