I wasn't sure what the Swedish stamps (or even if they are postage) are, then came across the Danish pairs which are equally puzzling. I couldn't find any of them in Scott.

eta: I believe the Swedish stamps are SG Swedish #30 (5o) and #31 (6o) respective.

The Danish pairs are lovely. I look forward to finding out more about them.

Yes they are lovely. I now think the left side (wavy lines) of the 5o and 10o are reprints of Scott Denmark #61 and #62. And the left side of the 15o is a reprint #192 (Caravel)

I reckon they're reprints because there's no mention of pairs. But I'm still looking.

Okay, SOLVED.

These are 1937 reprints, Scott Denmark B6, B7, B8.

Quote:
In 1937 three special stamps (5ø., 10ø. And 15ø.) were prepared with a 5ø. Surcharge for charity. The stamps depicted the windmill of Dybbøl on Als, which had become a national symbol in the 1864 war fought and lost against Prussia.

For the Danish stamps, Scott does not give a catalog ID nor price for the setenant pairs, only for the entire booklet pane.

The Swedish stamps depending on the perforation and shade could be Scott #19, 19a, 20, 20a if perforated 14, or #s 30, 31, 31a if perforated 13. These stamps do not have horn on the back of the stamps and valued mint over $300 if pr 14 and over $100 if pr 13. If these stamps have blue horn on the back then they are #s 43, 44, 44a and worth $50 for 5 ore and 27 for 6 ore. Prices are from 2008 catalog.

Facit prices the se-tenant pairs, and at least some of them have comparatively nice CVs. I don't have the catalogue available right now, but I recall one of the Christian X pairs I looked up was north of $20.

[False alarm...Facit prices the booklet panes for these, and the entire booklets...not the pairs. I was thinking of the "slot machine" se-tenant vertical pairs from 1920-1921.]

The prices in Facit for the "non-windmill" stamps in these pairs are very interesting. This is where the value is in the booklet panes.

e.g. the green pair comes from a pane of four consisting of three windmill stamps (Facit 278) plus one numeral stamp (Facit 102) priced for the pane in my 2008 Facit edition at 350 Swedish kronor UMM/MNH and 250 kronor MM/MH. However, Facit 102 was only issued in these booklets and in fact in my edition it has exactly the same mint prices as the complete pane of four.

These stamps are omitted from Scott's or just plain missed at least through 1995 & should have fallen between 256 & 257. Facit lists as 278(B6), 279(B7) & 280(B8), They were issued in booklets in panes of 4.
The Facit 278 5+5 pane is 3 278 with a Facit 102(=223a, Scott) in the left lower corner.
The 279, 10+5 pane is 3 279 with a 111a (=229) in the same corner.
The 280, 15+5 pane is 3 280 with a 227a (=214) in the same corner.

All in all this is a great set to have!
PS Get a Facit if you collect any Scandinavia.

The mill stamps are B6 to B8 in Scott. You have to do some page flipping, but they do reference and price (at least some of) the booklet panes, but they only mention the se-tenant pairs, with no catalogue numbers and no values.

In Facit, I was reading 278, 279 and 280 to be the single mill stamps, not the pairs.
