Can anyone provide a Scott and/or Michel catalogue number for this stamp?

I'd also appreciate any information as to whether there are any varieties of this issue, as I've seen reference on an online auction site to a 'Type I.'

There's also a possible plate error - take a look at the '1' in the top left '15.'

Thanks for looking!

Type I has broken loops at the bow in the back of the neck. Type II has complete loops.

Type II is Scott 11, Type I is Scott 11a. 11c is deep blue, instead of blue, and is Type I. (11b is a bisect.)

It should perf 14.5. Reprints perf from 10.5 to 13.

Thanks, Cjd. The perfs are 14.5 but I can't see the loops well enough on account of the cancel.

It should be Michel 15 I or 15 II.

Yvert's spotting features are the bows, and the highest points of the crown of laurels. On Type II, it ends in 3 little points above the front half of the head.

Again, your cancel gets in the way.

I`d say it`s Type I (indeed, reprints perf from 10.5 to 13 as follows: ND 1866=12, 1870=10.5, 1884= 13. All reprints are Type II). Tomorrow I`ll try to provide scans, but again it really looks like Type I.

Type I. and II.
Note the `spiky` hairstyle (in fact crown of laurels) by type II. ! Yours lacks it, so it`s Type I.. Also Type II: the two ends of the ribbons are clearly separated (in your stamp just above the line of the pmk bw. 16 and 2 there seem to be a white spot that connect the ribbon). See also the nose. I guess it`s deffinitly Type I. About the plate error, I have an "österreich spezialkatalog" and it mentions no errors at all, only by the 3 Kr. black, and that has to to with the "R".

Type II.
