@ clifhiker

The sailing ships on Denmark and Portugal are not Tall Ships !
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tall_ship

According to " Watercraft on Stamps" a Handbook published by Ships on Stamp Unit :

On Denmark stamps appears an " Ancient sailing vessel "
( similar to a Cog
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cog_(ship)

and on Portugal the sailing ship is a "Caravel latina" ( c. 1460)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravel

I would suggest to moderator of this topic to replace the name "Tall Ships" by " SAILING SHIPS "

@March ... thanks for the info

however, both the Danish Cog-like ship and the Portuguese Caravel latina appear to qualify at least as class B 'Tall Ships' as they both exceed the length requirement and both appear to have three masts. I am no expert and do not want to step on any purists toes ... so perhaps a change in title of the thread would be appropriate.
