Does anyone can tell me how I can determine the plate of this Penny Red stamp? I know that it is usually printed on the borders, but I am really unable to find any numbers here...
The plate number was printed in the border of perforated examples of the Penny Red. For imperf examples, it requires a good eye and some reference material.
Do all perfed penny reds have those plate numbers? most of the perfed penny red I own, have plate numbers, but on three of them (on the same cover) I can't see any plate number..
