No new Flags since Rod's lovely Cindys.....so let's bring to life another idle thread.

This dropped on my desk today. I don't know much about it and have never seen one before.

Scott# 1894, Plate No. Block of 6, Large Part Missing Black.

More Flags coming shortly.
Had a lot of new additions since April.

If anyone else has some Flags, post them here.

Just a note on the perfin posted by rod222 on 02/07/2010. This perfin was from the Wabash Railroad Co.

edit note: rod222 you are correct, I only type with 2 fingers and neither one is very smart!

I previously posted this one under a different topic, I think it's the 1618Cf gray-color omitted error:

I am wondering if you have made a typo Russ?
I play the harmonica (very badly) and an old
chestnut is "The Wabash Cannonball"

I am assuming you mean Wabash Railrod Co. Yes?

If it was completely missing the black, then it has a nice value.
This one I haven't seen up to now.

Not sure if this would be classified as a Cinderella or merely a sticker, but this was from a sheetlet of 10 distributed by DAV (Disabled American Veterans)...a reduced version of the reverse side of the sheetlet backing is also shown:

Definitely a Cinderella wt1!
Many of the modern day seals are sticker-like or Self-Adhesive. I have a number of them somewhere in my mess.
I think I posted a DAV seal on the 'Other Charity Seals' thread last weekend.

Nice cover Rod. And a lovely insert too.

The US stamp I do not have ! I must have missed it and it is NOT on my USA Flag list.
I will have to put that to rights.

Here is a nice Tonga set I picked up at a London market.
Unusual [for me to see] a Self-adhesive stamp with S/A label seperated by perforations, that are actually meaningless !

Nice set though.

A Canadian 'P' Booklet , Flag over Mills.
I adore this 'Flag over' series.

Thought I'd put my recent purchase from Modern Who in the right place

Nice stamp indeed. I wonder how it got through the system without a value.

Another case of what the eyes don't see........

That's neat the way the flag protrudes out from the frames.
