The Czechoslovakian Legions were volunteer armed forces composed predominantly of Czechs and Slovaks fighting together with the Entente powers against the Central Powers during World War I. The Czechoslovakian Legion fighting with Russia, the Druzina ("Company"), was created in 1914. Here is an image of a stamp depicting Ensign Jarloslav Heyduk, a Czech resident of Kiev, holding up the colors of the Druzina, its design consisting of the crown of St. Wenceslas as the central motif, with the coats of arms of the four provinces of Czechoslovakia: Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, and Slovakia in each corner. This stamp was designed by the Czechoslovak Graphic Union, engraved by Karl Friedrich Seizinger, and issued by Czechoslovakia on August 15, 1934 as one of a four-stamp set commemorating the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Legions, Scott No. 197, SG No. 330.

Absolutely any flag, except Nazi maybe, can be designed onto a personalized stamp, if you figure out that there's NO country in the world who ever issued THAT flag of yours on a regular stamp.

For example:

Big wheel keep on turning. Proud Mary keep on burning. And we're rolling, rolling. Rolling on the river...

Hungarian-owned SS Ferenc Deak paddling down the Danube while passing scenic Schönbühel Castle in the Austrian valley of Wachau, and the Austrian flag, designed by Hungarian graphic artist József Vertel (1922-1993), printed by photogravure, and issued by Hungary on June 1, 1967 as one of a set of seven stamps publicizing the 25th session of the Danube Commission, Scott No. 1828.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting the French national flag inscribed with the motto of the Order of the Legion of Honor: Honneur et Patrie ("Honor and Fatherland"), and marching cadets, designed and engraved by Charles Mazelin, and issued by France on August 1, 1954 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the foremost French military academy, the École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr, located in Coëtquidan, Brittany, Scott No. 731, Y&T No. 996. Note also the academy's motto inscribed above the gate: Ils s'instruisent pour vaincre: literally, "They study to vanquish."

Some of my US flags on postally used covers.
Probably some repeats, but to be expected after 44 pages.
