Flags On Stamps.......new Additions !

The first stamp of republic of India released had the Indian Tri colour on it...


Here is the stamp

These were released in 1972.... 25th year of Indian Independence...

Same year we had two other stamps one with USSR flag..




the other with flag of Bangladesh

This one was released in 1977 with Russian flag

A few others with Indian tricolour












The last one was in commomeration of a SAARC summit and had flags of all SAARC nations

Greece 1997 World Championships of Athletics in Athens, Greece.
Stamp depicts the high jump.

Flag of the African and Malagasy Union, common design stamp by Albert Decaris, printed by photogravure (Delrieu), and issued by Dahomey on September 8, 1962 for the first anniversary of the union, Scott No.155, SG No. 167. Historical note: The diversity, geography, and post-colonial problems of the different countries stopped the organization from ever becoming significant, and despite efforts to keep it going, it went defunct in 1985.
