England flag on a flag stamp from El Salvador, 1982, used for a maximum card.

This is an incomplete set of 23 out of 24 possible maximum cards (missing Scotland) with El Salvador stamps showing the national flags of the 24 countries qualified for the soccer World Cup in Spain, 1982.
The support postcards are from the United Nations, so some of these maximum cards don't show a strict vexillologic concordance; for example, here the football/soccer-qualified "country" of England is represented by: 1) the El Salvador stamp showing the flag of England (not UK, of course), and 2) the UN-issued postcard showing the flag of the UK (since England alone is not a member of the United Nations).
The concordance is indirect, because the UK flag incorporates all the flags of the members of the Kingdom: England, Scotland, etc.

I have this set from my friend Sebastian, who is liquidating his world-class collection of thousands of maximum cards.
