To those who appreciate & value "Rare" Philatelic poster stamps, I present you the "Gem" of the Gems! Newly discovered royal Color Trials & royal Misperf. BLKs of Citex and Bepitec Philatelic show labels of Egypt 1949 (ex. King Farouk collection)

(especially, for my fellow collector Londonbus1! ... Enjoy! )

P.S. There are only two sets known to exist (one with gum & the other gumless).

Cheers

Weird that Egypt makes promotion for a Belgian exposition. Never saw one nor heared of it.

Here's the same stamp, but without the Egyptian writing

I think with no exaggeration, this lot is considered to be the most rarest & expensive Philatelic Expo. labels/poster stamps have ever existed!

I was even surprised when I got to know that they are being auctioned by one of reputed auction houses (Corinphila) as a separate lot & was shocked by the price realized (although I was alerted in advance!)

Cheers

Hey James, I found a few items on both BEPITEC and CITEX:

Two Belgian sheets issued for BEPITEC and the 100the anniversary of the first Belgian stamp.
The second is actually an overprint of the first (don't own that one):

On the Internet I also found two almost identical Egyptian covers:
BEPITEC

CITEX

Nice stuff, Scarah!

Apart from what you've scanned, I could find some other nice examples

"MINT" of such covers are scarce (front & back) ... Mint covers without postage stamps & obliteration are rare!
