Hi,

Do you know if there are any manufacturers of the mounts that open on one side only, so I can cut from the top and sides to fit my minisheets, as opposed to getting (almost) exact-sized ones? I know Scotts are not it, and the Showgard 96 I bought for trial purposes is not it either - they all open in the center and have to black flaps attached to clear pane.

Thanks!

I always use davo mounts. They come in various sizes and and very easy to cut:

Are Davo mounts definitely opening on one side only? I cannot find pictures confirming or denying this. Are they just two pieces or three-pieces deal?

Try Hawid mounts. They open on the top and are sold in long strips, which you trim. Both black and clear mounts are available. Subway carries them.

most of the DAVO-mounts are closed at the bottom, but the larger ones are closed at two sides.

Mystic Stamp Co. has a great selection of mounts. They are not too expensive and shipping is cheap. The Mystic mounts are a little heavier (which I prefer).

Mystic mounts are split-backs, that's what I'm trying to get away from

I love this topic, as I don't know anything about mounts or which ones to buy or that they even opened up in the back or side. So thank you all for the weblinks which I have checked out!
