I'm glad someone revived this thread -- lots of wonderful stuff here! I'll add another piece that I've posted elsewhere. This is a "metered" Philatelic Truck souvenir sheet, dated June 1, 1939 and autographed by Ralph Davis, the truck's supervisor. The cover notes that this is "from first 'Postometer' put in use at Penn Sta. Gen'l Post Office" in NYC.

This is my favorite, mainly because I know both the sender and recipient. The recipient was recently downsizing, and gave it to me along with some other special covers.

I jetted in for the Siegal Rarities sale last week and bagged a few rarities to add to my stock! I'll be posting images here, however I'm 10,000 miles away now in the Faeros and only a snail-like dial up connection that's dropped out every time I attempt it.
Love the Columbian cover!! Might see your money back in around 400 years.

At the moment, the baby Zep is my favourite!

here she is on the day I received her with some other airmails.

I also really lice the #C5 and I am currently looking for a nice well balanced mint or unused copy of the stamp.

That's a beautiful baby zep, Lawrence! A nicely-centered corner position. I love the whole C1 to C6 group as well.

the 3 covers are the best,and what started this crazy hobby of mine. they are of a brother and sister who are direct descendants of Edward Dotty who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620.

the Perry is my best treasure find, in a lot of low interest stamps at a burger price, never hinged no gum

The zeppelins, never hinged, were my most expensive buy but I really love them

the 292 is the most beautiful stamp the us have made, in my humble opinion

There is one blue overprint, a red 1919 OP, and two black T E O Cilicie overprints, the lower of which looks doubled.
