Here is a December, 2011 Internet Stamp of Germany's Deutsche Post depicting a modern, handcrafted angel.

Forgive me if you only wanted stamps in this thread, but here's an aerogramme from Australia:

The artist is Albrecht Dürer. Not long after issue, it was stated this was actually the Angel of Death. Still an angel, though.

On March 17, 1979 Belgium issued this set of two stamps (Sc #s 1026-7) to commemorate the millennium of the city of Brussels. The image of Anchangel Michael banishing Lucifer is shown on both the stamps and Brussels's coat of arms.

This large, 80 drachma stamp (Sc #1820) is from a set of 3 "Visions of the Apocalypse" stamps issued by Greece on September 18, 1995. It depicts Angels of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor, an icon painted by Thomas Bathas.

From christianity.com website, "The Book of Revelation addresses seven letters to seven churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey) (Revelation 2-3). Each letter, as proclaimed by Jesus and recorded by John the Apostle, declares the triumphs and failings of the recipient churches and warns each congregation to repent."
