Here is a 60 drachma coil stamp (Sc #797a) from Greece showing the Edessa Waterfalls. The stamp is from the 1994 "Department Seats" set of twenty definitive stamps (10 sheet format + 10 coils of the sheet designs) issued on October 5, 1994. From Wikipedia, "The falls are a natural phenomenon that arose after a strong earthquake that struck the surrounding area in the 14th century. Since then, many changes have taken place in their morphology due to earthquakes of smaller size." |
