I am sure we can make a nice collection of these in our Forum. Show us some of your Propaganda or Patriotic material...covers too. I have some I know very litle [or nothing] about so please jump in and put my mind at rest, if you know ! The first one was issued by the Labour Party when talk of privatisation of the Postal Service began in the 90's. Not sure what kind of letter this would have been on....a Party circular perhaps ? I don't know much about the next one, except that I haven't seen it very often and usually they are in poor condition. I picked this one up at a Stamp Fair in the UK. It does exist in other colours/values. More shortly, daughter duties [Driving lesson !] Londonbus1

One for Scotland ! Flags are often used in the design of Propaganda and Patriotic labels and the following two are good examples! Maybe one of our US members can tell us more about them ? I believe the latter is a Charity Label [DAV] but the flag gives it a place here today ! Londonbus1 |

Great thread! A lot of the Korean stamp issues (both South and North) would be appropriate here. Unfortunately, I'm on vacation and don't have any to post at the moment. As one would imagine the stamp themes in South and North Korea are both extremely patriotic and border on the side of propaganda. |

Quote: A lot of the Korean stamp issues (both South and North) would be appropriate here I don't think so beezer ! While I agree with you about the type of stamps from Korea, this thread is for labels.....the Cinderella variety. But you can start a new thread for Patriotic and Propaganda Postage stamps ! Stampgal, I missed your label before, but it can only be from Malaya, and almost certainly from the Emergency period. The languages are from top to bottom: (of course) English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil, all with the same message. |

I've run this one through so often, its sprockets have work off, but it might still play once more: WWI from India - where else? |

Thanks for your info on the Malaya label, Tonymacg. The Malay line has a number "2" in it - I'm tempted to read it as a text-speak "to", but how would that fit in with a line in Malay?! Its a puzzle - maybe you have the answer? |
