Here is something of interest that I found in my Grand Fathers things after he passed. He was a Fire man, Actually the Fire Chaplin in Jersey Shore PA.. I thought it a neat. A postal card with an advert on it. I wonder why it has a grommet in it though like a tag maybe? Curious anyway. enjoy!

It has a grommet for the attachment of a swatch of cloth
to append the advertising.

eg "feel the quality"

Oops...that was a clanger
absolutely incorrect. Off with my head.

At bottom of card it says "hang this in the dressing room
for other to see..."
So a hole for a nail or a thumb tack.

Or maybe it was to be hung off of a cloths hanger or something in his locker at the fire station? (He was the chief and chaplain) but another good guess is that maybe it was just attached to a garment purchased from them and it was attached to it. Also never hurts to shamelessly plug your business either right? Thank you Rod!

Here is an old locker marker from the fire station where he volunteered for over 60 years! In pa we have Volunteer fire companies instead unlike most states. Gotta love small town Pennsylvania!
