Found this cover in a box of miscellaneous stamps and I don't remember the reason for this "USA at NZ" pictorial cancel.

Does anyone remember it and what it represented?

The only significant item I have found this far about the history of New Zealand in 1990 is that it is the Sesquicentennial of New Zealand. Might have been some sort of visiting delegation from the US to celebrate that?

Could be. I just don't remember anything and wanted to note what the event was on the cover.

(Note the pictorial cancel is of similar design to the 25c self adhesive postage stamp used on the cover.)

Thanks for the info. An international stamp show makes sense, but just not very well defined as such within the pictorial cancel. (After 20+ years, we forget...)
