gasparddelanuit2 welcome, can we call you something shorter for typing purposes. Let me know if you meant Scott numbers, which is what I use and then I will look up your stamps, but yes they are all from Japan and unless I miss my mark looking them up, they are fairly common stamps. Great to have you with us, those were great scans. Keep posting and let me know which catalog numbers you want. - jeff

jhlovell:
yes my name is way too long, you can call me gaspard,
Scott numbers would be perfect!
i tried to do some scans but than I began to use my little camera, with good results!(it has the macro function)
BAYERN1Kreuzer:
The Fuji stamp has half circles,
do you have a particular method to clearly see the watermark?
i can't see it clearly with my light...

The Buddha was Nepalese
Siddhârtha Gautama born in Lumbini,
In Thailand Bangkok, you can cycle or run around Lupini Park
named after the Buddha's birthplace.
You can get Buddha images from japan.

The last stamp is very tricky,
there are two 10y stamps that on first observation look the same
but they differ

Buddhism is just a way to the truth,
I am sure that scene would not affect him at all
merely as an act of unskilful activity.
Charlie should be reflecting on the possible damage smoking
may cause him, and those that love him.

Sorry Bayern1Kreuzer.
whilst your reply was informative, I think you
did not pick up the difference.

Look at the value tablet, the 10yen stamp <does not> have two zeroes
making it 1950

But good try

Beautiful yen stamp.I always liked the early Japanese stamps, they seem to be so balanced, harmonious and humble at the same time,it looks like they expressing the yin/yang philosophy even in stamps....

All nice stamps indeed.

Rod, I believe Bayern is talking about the first stamp, the blue 20 yen, with Mount Fuji, whilst you are talking about the last stamp of the varying value tablets, the mauve 10 Yen.
