I found this group of labels in a recently purchased lot. There is no indication that they have ever been on cover but are apparently quite pristine in their varying amounts.
Can anyone tell me exactly what they are and how they were purchased? I have noticed similar labels on kiloware from Spain those those are on labels with quite decorative themes and are always in used condition.
Lovely site, Bujutsu. I read through it and I do agree with your idea that they would be dispensed by a vending machine of some sort. And I noted that the article you referenced does get into the "Euro" era where these are most likely valued in Schillings.
However, these three designs do not include a town nor do they match any of the illustrations so, for a while, they are going to remain a mystery.
It must be increasingly common to find these labels in among your purchases. These two pages showed up in a lot and display what must be different security papers as well as the varying denominations. Someone must have spent some time and money putting these together as an adjunct to their collection. I show them here with a much earlier topic with a question that I posted in 2011 when I first started to see groupings of the material. Someone must be collecting and researching them.
