This appears to be an obvious case of (yellow) color missing in the center of the sun and the name POLSKA (Poland). I believe it is Scott #1343. Does anyone know anything about this. Scott does not mention it. I have posted one normal copy on top and the suspect underneath. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance - Jeff

Sorry, but not an error. That stamp was issued with 2 different sets of colors. Look at the background color, and you will see it is also different.

Top stamp is #1343a, bottom stamp is #1343 in the Scott catalog.

Yellow on red make brown, so if it was an error, it would have to be white instead of red if it was a missing color.

Actually, BeeSee, red and yellow make orange. The yellow and red combined to make the orange of the suns flames.
But you are correct that if the yellow were missing it would be white. Red, Yellow and blue (or magenta, yellow and cyan in the case of the 3 colour process printing) are primary colours, can't be created combining any colours.

Doesn't really matter. The other color changes must be with blues and greens and my colorblindness cant see it. Thanks to everyone for helping me get this straightened out. I will fix the thread title and catalog numbers in my book. Thanks again! - Jeff
