Regarding the Cairo, Ontario cover, it is interesting to see the different routes the letter took. Oddly enough, I bought the cover for the RPO markings on the back plus the others. With the definitive set from one to five cents complete had me wondering about the date, so, I looked them up in the Unitrade Catalogue and found out that is was a First Day cancel. Actually, if I have any FDCs, I prefer privately produced ones, otherwise, I don't bother with FDC of any country including Canada. (Exceptions are the 1967 Centennial Issues and the GB Machins)I have information on opening and closing dates for the Ontario post offices, but, I was not aware how close the different post offices were to each other.
As for sorting my RPOs are concerned, I stick with the Lewis M. Ludlow reference book and use his numbers.
Who knows, with any luck, I might come across some interesting RPOs at the Barrie show tomorrow (?)After tomorrow's show, I will try to sort out the duplicates I have.
I will be posting other postmarks in here as time permits.
