Another pair of cinderellas purchased on impulse -- it seems I caught the affliction shortly after joining SCF!

The cover is at https://goscf.com/t/17807

This is to be expected,
this type of impulse is to be encouraged,
It is not an afflication, but an indication of a keen eye
and discrete taste.

Now, place all postage stamps "back of book"

But Rod, with postage stamps the collecting parameters are fairly-well defined -- Country X issued a total of # stamps of types A, B, C, etc.

The Country X collector knows what he or she is up against in building a collection.

With cinderellas there are no bounds -- the possibilities are endless.

I'll grant you this, cinderella collecting isn't an affliction, it is more like an addiction!

Indeed, along with the prestige of an official release,
the genuine postage stamp is shackled to political restraint,
to pass an approval regime of a band of people with an agenda,
Not so the cinderella, she is allowed to fly free, to sell her
message as diverse as boot polish to galvanised pipe joiners.
She is the barometer of her time, a window into daily life,
outrageous propaganda and the menial requisites of life.

Show me a postage stamp that could outsell Austria over
this one.....

Once again, sir, you have shown yourself worthy of the title "Bedrock of the Community." I am humbled to post in your shadow.

It has taken awhile but I've finally managed to add this set of four poster stamps to my fledgling cinderella collection.

[EDIT: Page reworked to correct error noted by Tongman]

They look much nicer up close!

I believe the man on the right is James Polk, President in 1847.

Beautiful cinderellas and presentation, however you have a typo.Should be 1843 instead of 1943.

Great catch Tongman, thanks!

jorgesurcl, on the left is Dom Pedro of Brazil and the man on the right is U.S. President James K. Polk.

Thanks Rod, the credit belongs to AlbumEasy as I would be hard-pressed to produce pages like that if left to my own devices!
