This is a cancel on an 1883 Austrian definitive. I can't find a place called Bumo anywhere in Europe. (Extensive googling indicates that there is a 'populated place' in China by this name.) Does anywhere know where it is/was?

This one is really driving me crazy, so I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks for looking.

I'm guessing the town is Rumo, located in what is now northern Italy.

khj, you'd be right. It's a small town in Trentino-Alto Adige with a population today of 837.

I was so sure it was a 'B' and not an 'R.'

Well, it does look like a "B" at first glance, because the bottom of the letter coincides with the vertical stroke in "K" of the Konig.

I had to look at it again and see the little tail on the "R" to realize it was Rumo.
