Hello, I have a couple of quedstions about these stamps. On the Morocco Agencies issues Sc#67-70, the Scott catalog shows them printed with centimos. Mine are printed with centimes. The catalog doesn't show any printed with centimes. Is this a different issue or were some printed with centimes and some with centimos?

On the regular issues Sc# 226-229, There was an extra 2 1/2p in a different shade. I am color blind but it looks like a light green to me. My friend says it is a faded blue but I don't agree. It seems to me that if it was faded from blue the border would be lighter, not darker. I scanned the two of them side by side and still think it is a light green. Can you tell from the scan if it is a faded blue or a light green? I need to decide if it goes in the misfit box or not.
As usual I thank you for your input.
david

One otherf question. In Scott there is a notation at the bottom of 226-229 thast says -Device at right differs on the 1 1/2p and the 2 1/2p. What is the device it is talking about?
Thanks
again

There is a prussian blue version listed in Scotts SC#229a.
My 2003 catalogue has it listed at....drum roll....$4,000.

When you come to, I think you should double check with a real expert.

edit.- Here's a website regarding the prussian blue stamp
Don't think you can retire just yet. Sorry.

Oh and yes there were two versions with the overprints centimos (spanish currency SC#67-70) and centimes (french currency SC#422-425). There was a British currency version as well.

Thanks jamesw, I didn't think it was blue nut light green. Do you think it is a faded blue? Good info on the overprints. I had them as 67-70. Now I can put them in the correct spot.
Thanks

david,

The 'device at right' refers to the the right panel below 1935 where the emblems are different.
Your pale Blue copy looks like it has faded but is till rather cool !

Thanks londonbus1. I've picked up some good information here. I should have known my friend was right. Colors are the main stumbling block for me in collectiong stamps. That is why I don't catalog anything until I am sure of the color. Many thanks
