Hi to all

This stamp from the Natal Province seems to have a missing centre design. The stamp also has a paper fold.
Can any one tell me what the design is supposed to be.
As it was with other Natal stamps that were from the era of Queen Victoria I am assuming it is the same era

Regards
Horamakhet

For me is clearly an Edwardian stamp, like this one:

With a faded king's portrait. So, it should be Natal SG 48

If you look closely you can even see the outline of the portrait on your stamp. :)

I'd guess that that stamp didn't like the soaking process too much...

(but I admit that I have a lot of KEVII Natal, and I've never noticed this extent of washout.)

I would guess it has been in a damp album
and colour has shifted to it's opposing page.
The stamp appears to have part cover on the back suggesting
it hasn't been soaked.
Magenta is a very fugitive ink of all countries.
Malay States comes to min.
