That set was issued on 30 June 1934 to celebrate Germany's past colonial successes. The stamps depict the men generally regarded as founders/co-founders of several of the German colonies.

I am curious, are they clear mounts? or are they those little clear stamp "envelopes" I have seen before, and always wondered from whence they came. very unusual.
