I have no clue how something like this might be used, but it seems to be a revenue of some sort related to the French effort at building the Panama Canal.



If anyone can shed light, it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that you are showing a fiscal stamp intended to be affixed to either a stock or bond issued for the French canal effort.
