A really nice appearing box that combines appearance and function. I especially like the (what I call) Japanese style fasteners.

Thanks again guys! The bone clasps, yes I had a Japanese design style in mind when making this box.

artlaunier; Cigar boxes are great for storing stuff as well, I made one into a pencil case, perfect fit.

smauggie; Ha yeah I'm trying to limit my stamp collecting interests to two subjects, we'll see how long that lasts

Very clever and organized!I'm tired of accidentally vacuuming my stamps when I do the cleaning thing :)....I guess I'm just of a hoarding nature.
And am I spotting the Czechoslovakian Dove issue in the glassine, lol!

You are indeed spotting a dove in the envelope, I have a bunch of Hradcany stamps in there as well.
They'll be going in this album I just finished making.
As a sort of topical collection I collect any stamps that Alphonse Mucha designed or any stamps depicting his artwork.
The plan is to print the Hradcany pages Mark Wilson has for free download on his Knihtisk site onto the scott pages then layout my own for the other issues, make a title page and what not.

It seems post binders are out these days but I like em, I will try doing a ring binder next though to see how that works out.

That's so cool! Is it me or are the box and the album covered in the same material? That really takes some talent. I've thought about doing the same
with my Minkus country binders.I got a G&K brand knockoff from Subway that is somehow upside down.. the posts were put on the wrong side or something.
I like it, though. It adds character to my collection and I know which of the volumes is which!

You have picked an excellent choice in Alphonse Mucha
I just love his work, and have done since I was young.
Good luck with the collection,
there is quite a bit.

I agree 100% Alfons Maria Mucha was a great artist, I usually don't like tattoos, but his work even looks good when copied onto some one's back:

Ajnabii, Thank you! Yes the box and blinder are covered in the same cloth, I bought a roll of it so my next couple binders will be blue as well. This binder was made from scratch (not just re-covered) but I would say take a shot a recovering your binder to give it that personal touch. A great place to look at cloths and bookbinding supplies ( and any archival paper/ conservation supplies) is www.talasonline.com/

rod222, Yes he is indeed great, one of my favorites. I was happy to see that alot of countries commemorate his artwork on their stamps, then when I learned he designed the first issues for Czechoslovakia! I can't say I was shocked though, with him having such a great love for his people and country, I also have a couple examples of currency with his designs.

Perf14, His art looks good anywhere

bfranton, I'd be happy to do some custom orders soon, I'd like to work on a few areas of the building stage, try some different approaches and see what works best for me, but yeah I'd like to start sometine in the near future.
