Here is an excerpt taken from the Wilmington, NC newspaper of May 1, 2011, where the Marine Corps museum posted a number of little known facts about the US Marine Corps and, in particular, Camp Lejeune, NC.
I thought this paragraph might be interesting to SCF members, so thought I'd post it here. Does anyone have a scan of the stamps referred to in this quote?

New River's Helicopter Squadron HMR(L)-261 was immortalized in 1954 by the Haitian government by the printing of a series of air mail stamps featuring images of the squadron's HRS (H-19) helicopters providing humanitarian relief, an effort named "Operation Sante" by the Haitians, to the country following Hurricane Hazel. This is the only time that Marine Corps helicopters have been featured on a postage stamp, foreign or domestic.
