Quote: Hope that handles Memel! Well no doubt - thanks! That's what I like about this forum - an obscure territory is summarized, and before you know there is more information than on Wikipedia! |

I'm always late (sometimes good, sometimes bad), but here is my contribution to the Memel items. This is a piece of postal stationery. French issued, overprinted MEMEL in 1920. One additional stamp seems to have been looted from the postal card. This item used November 2, 1920 with a MEMEL postmark. This is the only Memel item in my collection .. so I herewith share... |

One is never late on SCF, :) you just tag on to the end and add to the knowledge base. The helicopter thread was added on from 2008 how late was I?

Apologies if I've shown this one before...it is probably the strangest Memel-related piece I have: I assume it is exceedingly "philatelic" in origin. |

Hi all, Here is my collection of this country, only for the French occupation : Must be complete till 1920 (Sc#1 to 49++). Sorry but I have only mints, I know that it's not the better way to collect these stamps. On request, I will upload hi resolution stamps. Regards. Billys. |
