i love to steal from the Canadian Stamp News..they have articles of historical interest written so that average collectors can understand..here is a picture of stamps its highly unlikely you will see postally used...Somehow a legion of Czechs fighting for the allies in WW1 got stranded in Siberia for a couple of years..we are not talking about 150 guys..these were 10s of thousands of males from a small piece of Europe...with politics etc they were left to find their own way home..they survived as best they could..controlling parts of the Trans Siberian Railroad etc: they had a postal system but the known covers were unstamped provisional ones..i don't think the ones shown were used much if at all !

Hi Philb & other members

Why do you think I keep refreshing my subscription to that paper

The paper might be small, but I do have to admit, there are a lot of good interesting articles in it. I am ok up to February of 2014 - - -I know, the world is supposed to end in 2012
