Does anyone know the origin of these stamps? I suspect that Australia but I want to be sure.

Is this perhaps Cinderellas?

I am grateful in advance for your help!

Regards, Vladislav!

What? They named a town in Scotland after that famous Australian city?

Philatelic Edit: As a general rule of thumb, Vladislav, there is only one country in the world allowed to issue stamps without a country name, and that is Great Britain.

I am trying very hard indeed not to make snide remarks about Perth (Western Australia) and 'urban renewal'.

To add to Smauggie's point, Even though the country's name is not listed on the stamp, the Symbol of the Queens Head shows it as the United Kingdom stamp!

There seems to be a shame if the man does not know something and ask. Immediately he is, some, mock! I do not have to know that there is a Perth in Scotland, why I should know? I asked for help and not to ridicule and the "hold a lesson"! Just as some people do not know where Bogdanje? Where your countrymen (USA) firing live ammunition at unarmed Serbs - North Kosovo.

Someone knows where Bogdanje, I do not know if there is a Perth in Scotland, so? Do I need to know that the English are so overbearing, so only on its postage stamps do not write the name of their country? It does not need to know also.

I wish you all good from God and the forum's owner please delete my account.

Vladislav.

Vladislav, If you read this! No one was mocking you, the members at best making fun of Perth, itself. On behalf of the members here, I am sorry for unknowingly belittling you. Again, that was no ones intent.
Many people are unaware of the local issues surrounding your situation with US troops there & how sensitive an issue that may be for the Serbian people. It was actually an attempt by a member to simply start a conversation with you and this topic as a follower stamp collector.
The reason that the United Kingdom does not need to place the country's name of the stamp is because they were the first nation to issue a stamp.

So please consider this as an apology and we welcome you to take part in this forum. Since people are people there will aways be misunderstandings, but by understanding that possibility, we can work around and even avoid further issues!

Your's Truly, Mike

Vladislav, I am sorry too if I offended you, I was trying to explain a bit more about the stamp. I thought you might be interested in the information. Perhaps my answer was a bit short and seemed rude. I certainly did not mean to mock. We are all teaching and learning here. I hope you will stay on the forum and help to answer questions that some others may have about stamps from your part of the world.

Smauggie,
I think you'll find that Horse and Carts were rolling around the streets of Perth,Scotland long before Captain Stirling landed on the shores of Western Oz !

Vladislav,

Don't go ! I agree with what Mike and Stampgal wrote and second their apologies/statements.
There is no one here who has anything but good intentions, especially towards the newer members.
I'm sure we can learn a lot from you about your part of the world.
Give us a try.

Please.

Whoa there friend! I meant no disrespect what-so-ever! and for your information they are retired and it's doubtful if they carry anything but a backpack these days. I most certainly was NOT ridiculing you but from the sounds of your post methinks you were almost looking for a fight? No one here was intentionally making fun of you or showing any disrespect of any kind and probably was in jest if anything. There are folks here from all over this big world so explanations of such things are very commonplace. Please refrain from the angry retorts as we are all here for the same reason as you - stamps. -Jay

PS
I too apologize for anything that may have upset you. I would hope that no US soldier would ever do such an atrocity anywhere!
Please come back and join us and share your stamps with us. We are all here to learn.
By the way I'm the forum dolt so pretty much ignore me...lol
