Hi James I have been going to the Barrie show since the late 1960s really. It is a ritual for us really. Members of both the Barrie District Club and our Muskoka Stamp Club make it a point to be at each other's show. It would be sacreligious if we didn't Maybe I can get to meet you there because my wife and I are intending on going down. Some of the Barrie members know me so if you ask for Larry from Bracebridge, most should know. <G> Chimo Bujutsu |

I just got an ice fishing order for Barrie. Friends are currently house shopping there as well so I'll be a more regular visitor in the future. Also just found out Windsor has a stamp club afterall so once I learn the secret handshake and go through any sacrificial initiation I'll maybe learn a thing or two. Good luck with your offerings James. |

Hope to see you there Larry. That would be great. Just sent an email to Lithograving who lives not far from me. Haven't seen him on here in a while so hopefully he can make it too. Goodluck with the club, Nitro. I'm just starting to heal from the cricket paddles myself. |

If I am not working I will definitely try to make it up. Not making any guarantees because I am working 7 days a week these days, but I will try. It would be great to meet some fellow collectors from around these parts! Have a Good One, Skilo54 |

Hi Skilo If you can make it to the Barrie show, it would be great to meet you as well. What I should be asking now is, what time do James, Nitro and you plan on getting there? I am meeting an old friend there too (he used to be my boss actually some years ago and is a fellow collector) and I would not want to miss anyone. By clicking on my handle, you should be able to get a pic of me so that you know who to look for. Better still, my website is at www.waome.caHope to see you all there Chimo Bujutsu |

I'll be there most of the day, as I'm helping out. Was preparing some pages of stamps last night and today to sell at the club table. Do we need a secret signal, or should we all wear bowler hats? ( this is me in disguise) |

Morning, Turns out I have to work today, so won't be able to make it within the hours the bourse occurs. I was really hoping to be able to shoot out to see everyone, but duty calls. A really busy week for me, today will put me at 88 hours for the past 7 days........ Anyways, have a great time today, and enjoy the great company! Have a Good One, Skilo54 p.s.- Folks in North America can check out the TV show I work on - it is called "Nikita" and airs on CTV2 Friday nights at 8pm. I am one of the carpenters who build the sets. |

Well folks, I can tell you I was pleased to meet James W at the Barrie show and also pleased to see that he is now a Barrie Stamp Club member. It is always nice to put a face to a name. My wife and I usually go down to the Barrie Stamp Club auctions too in the Spring and Fall.
James told me at the show that you had to work Skilo. That was unfortunate but, maybe we will meet next year there, or, sooner at another show.

Yes a great time (I think) was had by all. It was great to finally meet Bujutsu and lithograving (and their lovely wives ) in person and put faces to names. Bujutsu, litho showed up a while after you left, and was sorry to have missed you (forgive me if I'm putting words in your mouth, litho)
Managed to purchase a couple of things , but also great to have time to talk with some of the dealers and other club members. Also a terrific show of displays from club members. And I got a great talk from one gentleman who gave me good advice on showing, should I ever venture into that. Judging from some of the things on display, I'm no where near ready for that. Some incredible early Canadian stampless cover, and a great display on WWII propoganda covers. Also nice to see some kids there. I think some of the members brought grandchildren. The Kid's table was pretty busy. I took a few pics, will try to post some later. |
