if you subscribe to Linn's 17.99

FYI, those prices that used to be for "subscribers only" are now valid for anyone purchasing online.

If you're not a subscriber and you place you're order over the phone, then you'll have to pay the 21.99 (although I bet you could negotiate that too).

Well, I know for a fact the one of those Mystic binders is wrapper and under the Christmas tree waiting for me to open on the 25th! Look for a writeup and some pics sometime on the 26th or 27th.

If you want to drool a bit, check out Exposures Online. Link is to the 3-ring binders they offer.

Many years ago, they had an outlet store not too far from where I lived. There were some beautiful binders at reasonable prices. Haven't been able to justify the prices since they closed that store.
However, the stuff is nice to look at.

PS: I don't think they have slipcases - you can use that as an excuse not to purchase

I guess I'm the lonely soul who likes to use zipper binders? I've got several dozen that I've used for years and I love them. I wait for them to go on clearance, then use the office supply $5/$10 off coupons. On average, they've cost me about $2-$3 each, and I've got about 5 colors to choose from so I can color code the individual albums.

The only drawback that I've seen so far is that they don't have strong spine support. So you can't fill it completely with heavier pages such as Vario stockpages. But that's fine, because they are so cheap, I don't have to stuff each one. Depending on the actual zipper binder you get, they can fit SI and Harris pages. You will not be able to get hingeless pages in them.

But, you do have to be patient and check the clearance section.

If you want a rough comparison to see what different types of albums will look like on a shelf, you can check out the picture of one of my bookshelves near the bottom of the thread:

I have another section where the zipper binders are arranged by color (like the stockbooks). You can put spine labels on the stockbooks (I choose not to), but you cannot really do that for the zipper binders.

Chipg:

Those are beautiful. Maybe if I had a large collection of Inverted Jennys, I would consider them. But it's hard to imagine paying $200 for a notebook to hold a bunch of stamps with 20˘ catalog values...

Wait a minute... I have all my 20˘ stamps in Schaubek Hingeless Albums.

Never mind....

So, I got the new Myatic binder for Christmas. It's a very nice binder. I moved Volume I of the album into it this morning. I took pictures. I'll post them with a write up later this afternoon.

The previous post about the Mystic Premium Binder and Slipcase prompts me to post this ad that was included in the Mystic Heirloom Stamp Album I received for Christmas.

Sounds like they're playing games with the prices, as in the previous post you could get a dust cover for the premium binder at "only" $15.95 and if you buy it together with the album it is essentially discounted to $10.

In this ad, they are offering a slipcase for the Heirloom Album for $20.95. Apart from color, I wonder if there is any size and/or quality differences between that of the Premium and Heirloom dust covers?

Of course, for anyone looking for a Heirloom Binder the flip side of that flyer shows that they are discounting the standard Heirloom binders to only $6 apiece or the deluxe version at $18.95 apiece. If you buy a set of 3 deluxe binders at $49.95, the per unit price comes down to $16.65 each:

To anyone who uses the Amos binder, how big is it? From the pictures on their site, it looks like a 1" or 1 1/2" binder.

I just picked up 2 Vario G binders (3-ring) with slip cases for about $30 per binder & slip case. I must say I am quite impressed with the binders, they are sturdy and very attractive.

Now if only I could figure out how to label them.

I just bought another 5 of the 14.00 binder and slipcases from Amos (Scott). Now I have 8 of them. I like that and they are very durable.
