Rough translation of the French wording on this:

Switzerland, land of bridges

perf 11 1/2

From a collection of railroad stamps, anyone have any idea who issued this or why?

Thanks

It is very hard to stump the boys and girls of SCF

Broke the image in 2 so as to conform
to SCF 100Kb restriction.

Thanks a million Rod222, you have answered a question that bugged my dad for 25+ years. the dealer he bought it from did not know; neither did any others he showed it to. You came through in such a short time: truly amazing what "we" all know! Looks like at least 5 others on this sheet might fit into the collection. Beautiful.

Printed by the Telephone and Telegraph Company?

To me they look like a bunch of come to Switzerland and travel around by train and bus, we have great railways and roads and look at all the nice scenic views and peaceful pastoral spots to visit.

Perhaps sold as tourist spots like postcards. A souvenir to add to your letter home. people wrote letters then. Or to give as a gift. Make prople envious of your good taste in travel destinations.

All on a stamp. Wonderful.

Very nice labels Rodney and 071opamp! Thanks very much for posting these.

If I remember correctly there was also a similar series of labels from the Swiss PTT showimg post buses in different Swiss landscapes. I think they may have been in yellow (or maybe I'm just thinking if the yellow post buses I've seen in Switzerland!).
