I was just reading about this recent find about a first class stamp booklet issued in UK in 2005 that is missing the Queen's head.

Apparently the value hinges on how many booklets may have been issued with the error, and since this is the first one that has come to these dealers attention some six years later, it is likely to be quite a scarce item:

I know Diana was called the Princess of Hearts, but suddenly the phrase 'Off with her head' suddenly comes to mind. I think that was the Queen of Hearts.

Royal Mail will know. They have a safe hidden somewhere where all their secrets are kept.
There are so many 'errors' in modern GB stamps that it is impossible to believe that any are genuine. If they were, then the printing companies used by them would surely have gone long ago.

However, poor Daisy, the Eastern Daily Press reporter also got it sadly wrong....

How can you tell if the silver has not just been scratched off carefully?

One stamp in a booklet of six with silver for the head and 5 without is an odd occurrence indeed.

I wonder if there are impression in the paper where the Queen's heads were?

This would be obvious under UV light I would imagine.
