Hi guys

Take a look at this 1965 Scott # 439 stamp.
Look at the bottom tips of the maple leaf.
The way the designer/artist placed the leaf on the flag, if it were straitened out (laid flat). it would be at an angle...Agreed...???

Yes, but the centred maple leaf looks correct to the casual observer (like me).

I don't think the leaf has enough "wave" to match the shape indicated by the top and bottom edges of the flag. But BlackJag is probably right about the look.

So, where's the date on this one?

The date 1965 is under the flagpole, it can be seen at the current resolution.
