I don't know that I can help much, but as per your title, I can tell you these stamps would not be from the US. The US would not use the metric Kg's for weight it would be in Lbs. and Ozs! There is an Overseas Courier Service at this link. Not sure if it relates in any way to your stamps or not: http://www.shipocs.com/core.asp?pag...Node&iNode=2 |

The combination of low production value and relatively low rate for the weight would lead me to guess a local of some sort...possibly from an island over to the mainland. Pushed to guess further, I'd guess Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
"Overseas courier service" is the kind of puffery you'd expect from a hobbyist's local post. (Or would that be "puffinry"?) |

I found these listed in the catalog of local ans strike posts by Phillips and Jost (2006) as being from Canada. |

Hi: Here's the description I put together for my book on Canada Cinderella stamps:
Beauport is a city located 6 km north-east of Quebec City. The site was given as a seigneurie in 1634 to Sieur Robert Giffard by the Compagnie des Cent-Associés. To celebrate the 300th anniversary of its founding, a set of 8 commemorative stamps (2 designs x 4 colors: red, green, brown or blue, on buff paper) was issued. One stamp features a portrait of Seigneur Robert Gifford, and the other shows an inscribed rock. Rouletted; gummed. 44 x 30 mm.
Let me know if you have other Canada cinderella questions. Maybe we can start a new topic dedicated to Canada cinderellas. Cheers, Ron |

Ok Gentlemen, This is not Albatross local post. This is an unlisted product of the Overseas Courier Service of Canada which is noted for the Charles & Di in 1981. This service serviced the government of British Columbia. These should be from 1975 postal strike era! |
